Are you a meticulous and proactive individual with a passion for numbers and financial management? Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working with our client, a well-established and dynamic company based in Perth, Scotland, as they seek an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth processing of transactions, and supporting the wider finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in accounting within a supportive and collaborative environment.

On a daily basis your responsibilties will include:
  • Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts and reporting.
  • Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and payroll processing.
  • Handling supplier and customer queries in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the accounting system and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
As the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and have a genuine enthusiasm for working in a finance team. To be considered, it is essential that you have previous experience in an accounts or finance-related role. You will have naturally strong numerical and IT skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel. In addition, you will possess a basic understanding of accounting principles and processes alongisde high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
