Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working with a national business based in the Inverclyde region to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant to cover an initial 6 month contract. Reporting into the Financial Controller this role has been created due to a unique project that the business are currently undertaking and will provide cover for an existing staff member who has been seconded into a new position. You will have previous experience working as an Assistant Accountant and will consider yourself a strong user of financial software and Microsoft Excel.

On a daily basis your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Ensure that accounts payable and accounts receivable deadlines are achieved.
Bank reconciliations.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Resolving invoice queries and resolving any escalated supplier issues.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Assisting with the cashflow forecasting process.
General support to the Financial Controller.
