London – West End – Hybrid, 3 days in Office
Our client is an award-winning Financial Planning firm, providing expert advice to highly qualified professionals, within their industry sector. They now seek a Financial Planner with approximately 3-5 years’ experience to join this growing team, based in the West End, 3 days a week.
The Financial Planner is responsible for providing financial planning advice to clients. They are the primary relationship manager for all company interactions with their clients, and they are responsible for the quality and accuracy of all client advice.
You will be provided with a client bank, however, the role also entails developing new client relationships through client referrals, and plentiful quality leads generated through client events and the business’s marketing activity.
General- Keep up to date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the marketplace.
- Comply at all times with the Compliance and Training and Competence Procedures of the firm.
- Comply at all times with the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the Financial Services Act 2012 and the regulatory Principles, Rules and the Code of Practice for Approved Persons.
- Keep up to date with financial products and legislation through continuous professional development (CPD), in line with the required rules.
- Where required by law and/or company policy, to maintain a record of a minimum of 35 hours of such CPD activity, of which at least 21 hours must be of a structured nature
- This role has been identified as being a role which includes competencies falling under the ESMA Guidelines for the assessment of knowledge and competence, effective from 3rd January 2018.
Business development- Identify new potential clients
- Ensure a positive first engagement
- Lead the discovery process with new clients
Initial advice- Conduct in depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, risk outlook, current provision and future aims and objectives
- Analyse information and prepare plans best suited to individual clients’ requirements
- Agree client strategy in conjunction with the team
- Provide ongoing financial planning services in accordance with the firms standards, ensuring high levels of benefit to both prospective and existing clients
- Provide advice, support and guidance to clients, assisting them to make informed decisions
Experience / Qualifications
Must hold the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) qualification
Previous experience of providing financial planning advice to clients
Previous experience in business development and growing a client book
